Through the study of phonics, kindergarten students at Cornerstone learn to recognize letter names, vowel sounds, consonant letter blends, words with unique sounds, and other phonetic skills.
Kindergartners will begin to build a strong foundation with math as they learn counting, addition and subtraction, number sequences, the value of money, time, calendar use, and much more.
K5 students will also begin to expand their knowledge of science and the world around them by studying plants, animals, health, and human biology, in addition to social studies and art.
Continuing to develop their faith and relationship with God, students will take part in daily Bible study focusing on salvation, Genesis, and the life of Christ. Kindergarteners will also have a daily, structured PE class and other weekly electives such as foreign language, music, and computer skills.
